Both are GeneralAire pads but they are not related. The 1099-20 is a 14.25-inch wide pad for the 1099 Legacy; the 990-13 is a 9.75-inch pad for the 1040 and 1042. Neither fits the other's humidifier.
The 1099-20 is far wider than the 990-13. If your unit is a 1040 or 1042, the 1099-20 will not seat in the tray. Confirm the GeneralAire model before buying.
