Not interchangeable. The AprilAire 35 and AprilAire 10 fit different humidifiers.
Fitment notes

Both are Aprilaire mesh panels, but the 35 is 13 inches high and the 10 is 10 inches high. The 35 fits the 600 and 700 series; the 10 fits the 500 and 550 series. They do not swap.

If a new panel sits 3 inches short in the frame, you have grabbed a 10 for a 600, or a 35 for a 500. Check the humidifier model, not just the Aprilaire logo.
